Excise Policy Case: Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has been placed under judicial custody till April 15.

In the excise policy case, a Delhi court on Monday placed Aam Aadmi Party leader and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in judicial prison until April 15.

In relation to accusations of corruption involving the city’s liquor policy, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had detained Kejriwal, who was subsequently placed under agency supervision till April 1.

Kejriwal has been “non-cooperative” and “giving evasive replies,” according to the ED’s lawyers, who sought the court to confine him to judicial prison for a period of 15 days on Monday.

In the courtroom were Kejriwal’s spouse, Sunita Kejriwal, as well as two ministers from Delhi, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi.
